Reccomended Yuri watching/ reading for January 1-7 2011 Title: Kannazuki no Miko Summary: For those who like the ShizumaxNagisa pairing in Strawberry panic, you will like Himeko and Chikane. Himeko, the shy and cutesy one with a crush on the mysterious and darker Chikane. When the world is attacked by a great evil, (the eight heads of the Great orochi demon from Japanese myth) the two girls awaken as the lunar and solar pristesses of legend to save it. When the first head sent to kill them rejects his fate and vows to protect Himeko, he becomes the one defense protecting the girls as they must learn the ritual needed to save the planet. But can one girl truley give up her heart to the other? Now throw in giant robots. Yuri, giant robots, ancient evils, epic battles, humor, a dash of rape and a heap of that classic cute romance all topped off with a bit of tradgedy- you've got a great anime! The ending will blow your mind after all they go through. It's totally worth watching! It was the third yuri I ever saw after Strawberry Panic and Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl. (see last week's Rin's Reccomended Yuri). Please Check it out! Post all comments, thoughts, and opinions on the anime here! This was quite possibly one of my favorite series ever, not just in the yuri genre. I'll write up my own review of it in a bit, first I need to finish modifying some stuff at home.

I really like Kannazuki no Miko, though has only seen the anime. It’s short, though a lot happens in every episode. Even though I don’t like robot-fighting(mecha) animes that much I did surprisingly not mind it in this anime, though it didn't interest me the most. I loved Chikane and Himeko’s story very much as it’s cute, deep and very strong. And that is of course my reason for liking the anime. I think I felt too much sorry for both of the characters through the series, and of course the male hero as well, but the ending made up for it. The story has a turning point that surprises the watcher and confuses you at the same time, though of course everything makes sense in the end.
I’m personally a huge Chikane fan, *fangirl sqeal* and loved her whole character from start to end. Of course a certain place in the anime surprised me and made me doubt my love for her a short moment, though it quickly returned of course and I regretted ever having loosed faith in her. :3
