Name: Ayla "Honey" Mead -TTALGI--
Age: 12
Year in school: First
School Attending: Miator
Appearance:
Hair color: Bright white
Hair style: Choppy shoulder length cut, often has trouble staying in place.
Eye color: Golden
Height: 4’8â€
Dress: Being so timid, she generally wears very covering clothing. It is often too baggy for her, sleeves completely covering her hands or leaving just enough of them showing that she constantly grips the insides of her sleeves to further hide herself. She has a generous double layer for lower dress- Usually a pair of very dark pants with a dress or skirt over them. A scarf is customary even in the summer, so she may hide her face easier. She very much dresses more for emotion than weather.
Personality: There is really only one word for this girl- Shy. She stays to herself, in her room, and on the rare days she does come out, she speaks to nobody. Her teachers have trouble getting her to stay in class, and on the off chance she sits in for an entire lesson, she is always the first one out of the classroom. Her shyness makes her feel vulnerable, and that makes her feel embarrassed, which makes her feel shy. It is a constant cycle that she has yet to break.
View of the Etoiles: Generally, she is afraid of them. They have an awful lot of power in the schools, and on campus all she hears about them is that everyone loves them. To her, this means they could be able to tell anyone to do anything, and that scares her very much.
View of other schools: She sees Spica as a den of debauchery, violence and sin. The uniforms are too short, the activities are too contact heavy, and the girls are too pushy for her. She is more scared of them than any other school.
Le Rim is cute, and fluffy, but the girls still scare her. Some of them are TOO friendly and it makes her think they are plotting something. Some of them are like her and very timid, but they seem to thrive on the attention it garners, whereas she finds any form of attention to be disturbing. In general, both other schools frighten her and make her feel uneasy.
History: Born and raised in Australia, Ayla is a natural when it comes to botany. She's not an expert and wouldn't even begin to claim that she is, but that's not because she doubts her skill- it's because she won't talk to you. She was born with a fear of humans. Animals are fine, and she often enjoys cuddling against larger dogs n the winter, but she is terrified of humans. She was home schooled from a young age, which was even difficult because she could barely look her own family in the eyes without being frozen in fear. Because of this, her tutor often used sock puppets or stuffed animals. She naturally took to cutesy things by that point, and she happens to favor small bats.
When she finally turned twelve, her parents realized she couldn't function the way she was in normal society, so they sent her to Miator. The hope was that being in such a controlled, safe environment, she could crawl out of her shell and try tackling her phobia. The downside was that, Ayla took the controlled environment as some kind of reject bin; She felt punished when she was sent to school. Somehow, she tries to overcome this, and usually fails. However, she no longer cries on the spot when confronted(unless the person is raising their voice), and she can manage to answer her teachers. Her inability to make eye contact or hold conversation still troubles her, as does her lingering fear.
The one who manages to gain her trust will be the one she clings to mercilessly.
Sample post: No no, they aren't looking this way. Silly girl, stop worrying. They're just people, and people aren't born to hurt you.
She had to tell herself this as she made her way-quickly- through the wintery courtyard. Her face was bundled behind a scarf, her hands tucked into her long shirt, and if one took a quick glance, they wouldn't see a single bit of skin on her except around her eyes. Those bright, gold eyes...
Ayla Mead. That was her name. She spoke not a word of Japanese, and refused a translator out of fear. She all but avoids all social activity, including making her way to her dorm. Not a word would she speak to any of those around her. Not a single passing glance. Not even a wave when greeted. Such things were not for her- Neither were people, for that matter. Humanity as a whole is one big terrifying pool of evil. Best to seal herself away from them in her dorm room, safe and sound, and focus all her attention on her work. Only six years before her punishment was over...
