Is your character on the Student Council? Nope
If yes, what does your character think of the student council president, Shimizu Hikari? "The white-haired one? She doesn't SEEM as nuts as people say. Never fought a crazy person, though...hmmmm...."
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more: Akemi is like a fireworks display. A long and increasingly rapid series of explosions. She is highly influenced by her father and enjoys nothing more than showboating and playing to an audience. Even if that audience is unaware that she is about to put on any sort of performance.
Akemi thinks of herself as an entertainer. She enjoys getting reactions out of people and loves nothing more than to cause a scene. Sometimes, it is hard to tell where her personality ends and the act begins, but that is just another part of the fun (in her opinion). Akemi is often loud and can come across as a bit abrasive. Especially if she finds someone she would like as a “rival”.
Being the type of person who knows what she wants and is willing to go after it, Akemi can often be confused as an arrogant or cocky person. It never helps that she likes to show off, either, but she is a very determined and strong-willed girl. Akemi has an intense focus and when she locks onto a goal, she will relentlessly pursue it, pushing herself to the point of exhaustion, if the situation calls for it. Akemi does have a high opinion of herself, so when things don’t go her way, she takes it out on herself. She doesn’t like to fail and when she does, she takes what she feels are the necessary precautions to see that it doesn’t happen again.
In spite of the general impression she gives off, Akemi does have sense of fairness and sportsmanship about her. In the past she has even surprised some people with the level of compassion she can show to others. If she sees someone being picked on, Akemi has never hesitated to throw herself into the middle of the problem. This has led to many long talks with her mother about how picking fights may not always be the best solution, however.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole? Is it the top position on all three campuses? Well, than that is the BEST position to have!
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? Yes! It's been her life's greatest ambition ever since she first heard about it, roughly a year ago.
What does your character think of Sado Kagami and Kitsuki Sha, the current etoiles? Kitsuki is an Etoile. She is the Uke Etoile and as a title holder deserves respect. But, her sights are locked on Sado. An excellent rival that any champion would be proud to compete against!
What does your character think of the other schools? Before she was enrolled, Akemi probably couldn’t tell you anything about any of the three schools located on Astrea Hill. She probably wouldn’t have even been able to point out Astrea Hill on a map of Astrea Hill. But, now that she is in St. Miator, Akemi is all in. There’s nothing quite like a friendly rivalry to keep things interesting. So, she will tell you that Miator is the best…no ifs ands or buts about it.
~History~
History before Astraea Hill:
Please write in 100 words or more your character's history before she came to Miator: Akemi is the daughter of Adan Araceli, a professional wrestler, and Kumiko Araceli, a well respected business woman from a very prestigious family. The two, it goes without saying, are a highly unlikely pair. And yet they seem to get along very well (even if her mother is a bit embarrassed of her father’s career)
The two met when he came overseas from Mexico to join a professional Japanese wrestling organization. Often paired up with Kumiko's brother, her uncle Yoshi, Akemi’s parents fell in love and eventually married. Thus Akemi was born, bearing a similar resemblance to her mother and yet taking the majority of her personality traits from her father…much to her mother’s dismay.
Akemi grew up, spending a large amount of time with her father. Her father was a hard working man, who dedicated himself to his career. From a young age, Akemi could see how much effort he put into everything he did. And when she saw the payoff, whenever he performed in front of large crowds she thought, ‘That’s what I’d like to do!’ Needless to say, this was not something that her mother agreed with.
Which is mostly the reason for her transfer into Miator. Not knowing what else to do, her mother reasoned that the only way to try and get SOME respectability engrained into her daughter was to send Akemi to the prestigious school. It was known for it’s sense of tradition, after all. And oddly enough, Akemi found the prospect rather exciting.
Sure, it meant spending less time with her father and uncle…but, as soon as she had heard about the Etoiles, Akemi couldn’t wait.
First Year: N/A
Second Year: N/A
Third Year: Akemi made her grand debut! Well...it was a bit of a bumpy start. In spite of her attempts, finding ways to make it into the gossip letter was a little tricky, but Akemi found herself in the company of a few potentially strong rivals. Chief among them was a certain short statured Spican girl whom Akemi made into her partner to finally run for Etoile. It was a rocky start...but Akemi sure found herself ending with a bang!
...Now, she just needs to actually win.
Fourth Year: Akemi's fourth year had a few more downs than ups. Between her loss in the Etoile election, her partner's disappearance and the earthquake at Miator. Well, Akemi was not going to let little things like this get her down. If she can't win the Etoile with Azu then...well, she'll just have to find some way to capture the spotlight. After all, she did save those First Years. So, it's not like she isn't pretty awesome.
Fifth Year: Once again, her partner's disappearance weighed heavily on Akemi. As the year started to draw to a close, Akemi very nearly found herself unable to run for the position of Etoile. But, when she spoke with her old rival, Aideen Sudakov, that she found her competitive spirit reinvigorated. So, she asked her old friend and protege, Ayuki, to run with her for that lofty position.
And with the votes in...Akemi and Ayuki actually managed to....TIE!?!?
Sixth Year:
Sample Post: “Miator is a very prestigious school. One of the best, in fact.”
Akemi sat on the couch as her parents explained the situation to her. A new school. One that her mother had been lobbying for, for quite some time now. It probably would have happened two years ago, but her father was opposed to the idea. He didn’t like the notion of sending his daughter off to some boarding school to live with a bunch of other rich kids. But, after the last fight she had been in, it was looking like the only way to keep the peace between his wife and daughter.
Not that the two were incapable of getting along. But, she didn’t seem too thrilled that Akemi was looking to carry on the family tradition. Well…his family’s tradition. And even though he had been doing backflips in celebration of Akemi’s enthusiastic approach to his profession, Adan had to put his best serious face on as Kumiko explained what Miator was.
There was a bit of a pause as Akemi took all of this information. She rubbed her chin.
“So…why not that Spica school? I’m good at sports!” she said. In fact, competing at that school sounded pretty fun to her.
“You need discipline. They would only…encourage you.” Her mother sighed, “Besides I went to Miator. I think you will do fine, if you just applied yourself.”
Another pause.
“Tell me again about the Etoiles.” Akemi wasn’t about to try and talk her mother out of this. But, she was intent on finding the positives. And the Etoiles seemed like a very big check in the positive column. She could see herself in that role. Winning over three campuses to be elected to a position like that? It sounded perfect!
Her mother took a look at her daughter’s eye and shook her head. She was familiar with that look. Whatever thought had just passed through Akemi’s head, it didn’t seem like there was any possibility of slowing it down.
