So in the original story, the etoile candidates had to be from the same school to run. I have used this in the rp thus far, you and your partner must be from the same school to be Etoile. But then I got to thinking, we have several girls who have girlfriends from other schools, why can't they run for etoile too? They can represent the campus just like a pair from the same school could, they could have a story just as great as a pair from the same school. Why not?

But then I think, it was about competition, Miator vs Lulim vs Spica, they are supposed to each have a contending pair and the winners make their school kind of the "cool school" for that year since the etoiles belong to that campus.

As an rp, we don't always have one pair from each school, so wouldn't it be fair to allow inter-school couples to run for etoile as well? Or is it better not to deviate from the original Strawberry Panic story and keep Etoile positions restricted only to couples of the same school, what do you think?

In the manga, they allowed inter-school pairs, which I liked. But I also liked the spirit of competition in the anime when girls had to be from the same school. I sort of think maybe we should have a combination of the two? Like we can try to have pairs from the same school, but if we don't get many pairs wanting to compete for Etoile, we can open it up for inter-school pairs? Maybe that wouldn't be a good idea either, but it's a really tough choice to make because these are both really good choices. =3=

In the novel only pairs from the same school were allowed to enter, much like the anime (although the novel was a lot more innocent that the anime was XD) But on a site where no canon characters are allowed, I think its kind of unrealistic to think that we should force our OC's to pair with someone from their own school. I think to think of SPRP as like... the next generation of students, after the anime/manga/novel ones. So as the next generation, I think its good if we encourage inter-school relationships

I think so too, perhaps allowing both is the better option than restricting one. We are the next generation of Astraea Hill. Equality sounds like a good idea.
