Name: Kasumi Ting +Strawberries+
Gender: Female.
Age: 18
Year in school: Teacher - Music
School Attending: St. Miator Girls' Academy
Partner: none
Room mate: none
Appearance:
Hair color: Auburn
Hair style: Long to her shoulders if not a little below. But usually she keeps it pulled up in pig tails at the back of her head.
Eye color: pink/red
Height: 5'5
Dress: While at work she often wears nice dresses or slacks and nice shirts for teaching the students. When out of school however she usually wears either relax clothes or most often even sailor suits. The girl is quite fond of them in fact. Also she has her stage clothes for when she is performing. They consist usually of rather fancy dresses that sometimes show off skin.
glasses: No
Personality: She seems to have a peppy personality, which can usually cause her to get in trouble if it gets the best of her. One might theorize that she is one of few Miator students not deeply enmeshed in that school's traditions and customs and therefore more free-spirited and more likely to act according to her own impulses, rather than according to expected patterns. Kasumi certainly has a gift for energizing her surroundings and the people around her.
Other things about her include that Kasumi is easily frightened, making her tremble at even the slightest mention of something scary. She has a large appetite, especially for sweet foods. Also, she admires others for their artistic abilities. She herself has displayed an aptitude for acting and the piano. She is a fairly talented actress. Her weakness is most certainly French.
History: Kasumi was born in the city and raised by her mother and father. They weren’t extremely wealthy but they weren’t bad off either. Living in a good section of town surrounded by other families with kids the same age as Kasumi, some were older or younger as well. She was able to make friends with them easily with her personality being so excentric even as a child. At school she would often get in trouble for having too much energy and not able to sit still. This caused her parents to have to home school her through her first few years of school until Kasumi was able to control her impulses and sit still while in the classroom.
For middle school she went to a private school that was a co-ed school. One of the boys took an interest in her when she picked up playing the piano. He tried pretty hard to get her to notice him but she just didn’t care for him. Of course when another boy tried that even she thought was a better guy than the first she still found she wasn’t interested. Kasumi confronted her mother about it who just smiled and said it was alright. Though she didn’t explain anything further. Simply said to not tell her father.
Her final year of junior high she was in the music room with a singer accompanying them for a show they were about to do. The girl expressed she had developed feelings for Kasumi and the red head had to agree she had done the same for the younger girl. But it didn’t go more than that. The performance happened and the two didn’t see much of each other after that. It didn’t bother Kasumi too much, but now she knew why boys just didn’t interest her in the least.
It reached that time of year that she needed to pick out a school to go to for high school. Honestly she didn’t care where she went and her mother said she could go to a co-ed school. Her father on the other hand, who still didn’t know boys didn’t interest her, said she had to go to an all girls school because boys are vile creatures who can’t behave themselves. Kasumi didn’t care but put the applications out and did the testing to see which school she would get into. The letter came saying she was accepted into St. Miator Girls’ Academy. That was her top pick so it was obvious she was going to go there of all the other letters she got.
But when she got there Kasumi learned that her personality was still going to get her into trouble. She didn’t follow things the same way as others did and so it made things difficult. While there she did start to learn other instruments besides piano, taking in singing as well as the violin. When she kept getting in trouble during her third year the drama teacher got her hands on her and said she needed to let out some energy placing her on stage and testing her acting ability only to find out she had quite a nice touch with that as well. She developed friends in the drama department that she would hang out with on a regular basis, going to movies, the bath house and sometimes little adventures away from school. They loved how outgoing she was. During her sixth year Kasumi thought she was ready to leave school behind but as the year progressed and her friends all decided what they were going to do once they graduated she found she had no idea what she wanted to do.
One day she was approached and asked if she wanted to be a music teacher for St. Miator after she graduated. Kasumi thought about it for weeks on end almost up until graduation but she decided to take the job. She loved music and the girls at St. Miator so it worked out well. Now she teaches on violin, piano, and singing in the school and even helps out girls who are having issues with their lines in plays.
Sample post: She was sitting in her office waiting. Her first student was late but it was really early in the morning. Running footsteps sounded down the hall. “3…2…1…” she counted out loud. On cue the girl opened the door and bowed, panting out of breath. “I’m so sorry Sensei!” she exclaimed and Kasumi just had to smile. “It’s alright. I remember being late to classes the first couple of weeks too.” She said and turned to the piano. “There is a piece on the stand over there I want you to look at. Once you think you are okay with it we will run through it.” the girl walked over to the stand looking over the music. “It doesn’t look too difficult.” She said with a small smile.
Kasumi could tell that this girl was going to be a change from herself but she didn’t mind. Walking over to the piano she sat down and played her opening note. The girl hummed it and then when Kasumi started playing the piano she sang the words along. In about the fifth measure she stumbled over a couple of notes and Kasumi stopped. “Let’s try that part again.” She played through the part with the girl helping her to get her notes. It didn’t take much more for her to get through the song. “That was excellent Misa-chan.” Kasumi said giving praise where it was due. “You are excellent at sight reading. Next time I’ll have something a bit more difficult for you.”
Misa-chan blushed and bowed. “Thank you Kasumi-Sensei.” With that she turned and left out the door to head to her next class. Kasumi went and sat at the desk they had put in the music room. She didn’t teach all instruments but they had a couple of music rooms. One of the other teachers had a desk in another one. “First day and already looking like a good year.” She said to herself looking out the window at the grounds of the school. “I knew I didn’t want to leave.”
