Name: Kaiadae Osaka -ichigo-
Gender: Female.
Age: 16
Year in school: 5
School Attending: St Lulim
Partner: none
Room mate: none
Appearance:
Hair color:Blonde
Hair style:down and curly
Eye color:blue
Height:6"
Dress: Lulim dress. She can usually be seen in feminine dresses of the light loli-type, usually very long kinds. Depending on her mood she chooses more masculing clothing, usually refined and decorated to look a lot like royalty.
glasses: No
Personality: Like any rich girl raised in wealthy society, she was born and bred to be a lady. She carries herself like royalty and has a certain grace to her demeanor. Around men, she is reserved, quiet, and more easily interested in roses, wine, art and beauty, than indulging in conversation (at least ever since her brother left-but more on that later). However, she will protect other women and more easily open up to them. Demonstrating chivalry for them that a gentleman might. Holding open doors and chairs, standing when a lady enters or exits a room. Around her home in Versailles Manor (just the name of her mansion, shes not really from Versailles) she became known as the princely princess. Her parents were mostly amused by her way of acting the part of the gentleman, but overlooked it because she compensated with a very feminine mystique around polite company. She does not stand for injustice, and knows her way around a polite fencing duel if need be and is intelligent enough to understand politics and the intricate workings of heirachy and lineage. If a wrong is committed, she can get to the bottom of it, and is driven to do so until justice is served. She is strong and resilient, very in touch with her emotions, yet also willing to know when to put them away when other matters are more pressing. She enjoys cooking and reading, singing, violin and dance.More than anything however, she values faith and trust.
View of the Etoiles: (assuming Kitsuki and Sado win) She admires Kitsuki, finding her an adorable young lady worthy of the title, especialy paired with Miator's "Prince". She admires the prince as well, almost with a crush of her own, though she respectfully does not interfere with the Prince's life. She finds them both worthy of the title, and would be honored to meet them.
View of other schools: Always one to enjoy sports, she likes to watch the competition between Miator and Spica, but as a dainty Lulim, she keeps herself out of the crossfire for the most part.
History: Born into a family with four siblings, she was babied by an older brother and sister, and hated by her younger sisters, though she could never place why. There seemed to be whispers that her younger sistes both had an incestial crush on their older brother who eventually left them to serve in the militia. It was evident that Kaiadae was his favorite of all the girls, he even taught her fencing (and she became very adept at it, despite not practicing it as a true sport). He spoiled her often with sweets, and her older sister (who simply adored her) taught her violin, sewing, tea ceremony, knitting and other ladylike things. The younger simblings were more neglected by the entirety of the family, as her parents were not only proud of her older sister's grace, but astonished by Kaiadae's ableness to mimick the flawless feminitity. -Of course until Kaia began acting more gentlemanly when her brother left. Even so, she is very loved by her parents, and her older siblings would do anything for her, in spite of her younger sister's displeasure. So when it came time for Kaia to begin attending an actual school, it was tradition that sent her to Lulim, just as her mother and older sister had attended, and her younger sisters would attend in the future. For the past four years at Astraea, she had made little impact on the student body, but this year, something will be different. She has a secret wish, one buried deep in her heart. She wishes to one day become a prince like her older brother. She knows this year will be the year that it comes true.
Sample post:
Sunlight shown brightly over a lush garden as a bluebird sang by an ornate marble fountain. The sound of the running water was complimented by a light rainbow that hung near the falling droplets, moreso by the several roses dotting the greenery. Beyond was Versailles Manor, a perfect image of beauty. The light here seemed to filter through a sparkling haze, like a dream, even as it cast it;s glow on gold trimmed windows.
Inside one of those windows a beautiful girl in a lace gown, with golden curls cascading down her back sat int he light at a desk reading a rather remarkable piece of parchment.
My Dearest Sister,
Congratulations on your acceptance to Lulim Girl's School, I'm sure you will excel. To celebrate, I have sent you a gift from my time in India. I'm sorry, but I will not be home in time for your birthday, I hope to make up for it this Christmas. Please give my regards to mother, father, Kazuko, and the twins.
All my love,
Mamoru
Kaiadae smiled and placed the letter aside with white-gloved hands. Two men were wheeling in a rather large crate, and her younger sisters were already milling about.
"Be careful with that!" Said one,
"Don't you know who that's from?" Asked the other.
They scarely put it down before the twins were glaring at her.
"Well? Open it already!" They demanded. Kaiadae stood, shoulder's back, chin up when her older sister entered the room.
"Now girls, patience is a virtue."
They seemed to straighten a bit when Olivia gave them a look. Sometimes they obeyed her better than Mother.
"Go ahead Kaia, let's see what brother sent you." her eyes gleamed with a certain pride just looking at the way Kaiadae held herself.
Kaia nodded to the men who were standing neaby with a crowbar, and the peeled the crate open, pulling back the wood to reveal fine silks, which her younger sisters immediately began touching and pulling with 'oohs' and 'aahs'.
"I want this one!"
"Hey I was holding it first!"
"Stop it you two, these are Kaia's silks."
The blonde with the curled hair only smiled graciously, before her light voice made itself heard. They was a doe might sound if she were able to sing.
"They are lovely, Mamoru has certainly blessed us. Please sirs, you may go, our butler should handle the rest."
The men seemed to sweat and then melt at being spoken to by such a lady. They bowed deeply and exited with bowed heads. She then approached the crate, though she seemed to glide more than walk, not a hair on her head moved as she came forward. Her posture remained perfect as she looked into the box. They were beautiful, they sparkled and were so very colorful compared to the soft pastels of the manor.
Her father suddenly entered, and all the girls bowed their heads and cutrsied,
"Father," they all said in unison. He smiled at the four of them,
"Ah Mamoru's package has arrived," he glanced at the fabric, "I'm sure you'll find something to do with it." The words were rather cold, but his tone sounded more ignorant, as if he, himself did not know what the silks were for.
"Yes father," responded Kaiadae, gaze still downcast.
~~~~~
Life did not change much from this manor of living until her first day at Astraea Hill. A Lulim girl not much younger than she was crouched on the ground holding her head surrounded by several Spican students. She could not tell what they were saying, but the girl was crying.
She hardly hesitated. White frilled dress concealed her quick gait,
"And what are you looking at?" Said a taller, older girl with long black hair, stepping up to her. Kaiadae gazed up defiantly, butterfly blue gaze like a cold blade.
"Leave her alone."
The girl's friends came to her sides, ready for the kill it seemed.
"Make us," replied their leader.
One of them grabbed the Lulim student by the arm as she had tried to sneak away.
Kaia glanced to the left, She could tell that these girls were from the fencing team, all of them wearing their swords on the first day of school as if showing off their 'club'. Swifty, she had reached and retrieved the sword from the leader and had it pointed at her nose. her spine straight, shoulder's square, chin up. Just like her brother.
"Leave." She commanded.
The leader frowned and pulled the sword from her friend and met Kaia;s blade, assuming a fighting stance looking far too confident.
Kaia quickly assessed her, the girl's stance was too wide, and she leaned too far forward, but she lunged for a stab. Kaia skipped back and parried, one hand tucked neatly at her lower back. She knocked the blade aside and countered forward, two consecutive trikes that the girl barely blocked. Now she was fighting defensively, the girl hesitated before striking, Kaia caught her point with her sword and around once, twice, The girl tried to come closer as her sword was pushed around a third time her hand slipped forward, thrusting her pint over Kaia's right shoulder for only a second before the girl lost her balance.
Kaia immediately shifted out of fighting stance and offered a hand,
"You have lost. Your style requires a correction to posture, but if posture is an reflection of a lady's heart, then yours is in need of far more intricate amendments."
The girl took her hand and stood, taking back the sword offered to her. She and her friends left rather ungratefully, and nothing was said.
Still standing tall, she gaze at the girl, as her hair was caught in a breeze.
The Lulim girl on the ground was looking at her with wide eyes that were no longer wet with tears, she seemed speechless.
Kaia approached her and offered her hand as well as a smile, "Are you alright?"
The girl nodded, tentatively taking her hand to stand. The moment she was on her feet she clamped herself around Kaia in a tight hug.
"Thank you, thank you so much! That was amazing!"
Surprised by the touch (as that was entirely improper where she was from to touch like that), she only smiled in return, offering back a warm embrace as petals drifted around them.
"You're welcome." She replied.
The girl then pulled back, looking up at her with a bright smile before bowing,
"I have to go, um...see you later!" She turned to walk away, looking back to wave and then going on, her long black hair with red bows shining in the light.
Kaiadae had the feeling there were many young maidens here who had demons tormenting them just as this. And in a world full of beautiful maidens, there must a prince. So she vowed there, a young girl wrapped in lace and ribbon and pearl, that she would one day become that prince. No girl would ever need to fear injustice again. She would be their hero.
