Name: Isuzu Aotori
School Attending: Lulim/ Le Rim
Age/ Year in School: (choose one below)
13/Second Year
~ Appearance ~
Hair Color: She sports long locks of light azure hair.
Hairstyle: Falling mostly in wavy strands behind her, the main body of her hair trails down from a knotted section just above and behind her head, a violet bow tied through the strands there. Her fringe is rather long, breezing right down to her nose, though she tried to keep it out of her eyes. Often she will have to brush it back with a hand because the stray locks have shifted over her eyes.
Eye Color: Much like her hair, Isuzu has azure eyes, albeit a darker shade than her hair. Her eyes are often hardened and inexpressive, as she keeps her emotions buried deep inside.
Height: 5'3"
What kind of clothes does you character wear when she's not in uniform?
Being a Lulim student, she dons the standard Lulim attire most of the time. Her casual wear consists mostly of blue, with some black and white sometimes thrown in. She wears a mix of skirts, blouses dresses and jackets, depending on the weather and more importantly her mood.
What Clubs is you character involved in?
Cosplay/Sewing/Costume Club: Yes
Book Club: Yes
Manga/Anime Club: Yes
Is your character on the Student Council?
No, and she'd likely never run for it either. That kind of position is too much for her.
Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
Isuzu is a very reserved girl, watching others behind the plain azure gaze she holds. Any emotions she has are kept almost entirely locked within herself, as Isuzu hates to let them out for fear of being overly emotional or being taken advantage of, as has happened in her past. The only time she really expresses herself is when she writes - both in poetry and prose. But even those writings are kept hidden in her composition book, which is almost always on her person.
However, despite her reserved nature, Isuzu does try to be friendly to others, though it may at times feel strange as she lacks the full brevity of her emotions in her actions.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
Isuzu looks up to the Etoile, as an example of the outgoing people she wishes to be able to emulate. Beyond that, it's a position of remarkable responsibility, as well as popularity, and the azure-haired Lulim girl wonders very much what it's like to be in the spotlight like that.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday?
At this stage, Isuzu doesn't really think so, but you never know...
What does your character think of Sado Kagami and Kitsuki Sha, the current etoiles? Isuzu likes to watch the pair; their physical differences are lovely points of inspiration for contrast poetry, especially Kitsuki - her adorable but maturing body, mixed with the innocence makes for an interesting concept. Sado...Sado is perfect for the stoic character, with the twist of being female, though she is acutely aware of the drama that has been unfolding around them.
What does your character think of the other schools?
She finds the rivalry silly, but that doesn't stop her from watching and writing about it - once again, it's an intriguing place to start from for her writings.
~History~
History before Astraea Hill:
The azure haired girl has a very disturbed past, involving her separation from her parents at the age of 9, and adjusting to a new foster home ever since. Of course, no one had believed the quiet little girl at first, when she mentioned to her teachers that home wasn't safe anymore. Not until she turned up, after hours, swinging on the playground and crying to herself at almost 11pm. Isuzu's claims were finally looked into, and it was quickly discovered that her body had been abused, thoroughly, for at least a year or two; bruises, scarring and even trauma relating to sexual abuse - it was a miracle that she had not completely broken down by this point.
With such strong evidence at hand, there was no real battle, and Isuzu was quickly put into foster care after being severed from the witch of a mother, who had shouted profanities and slander at the poor girl, and the violent wretch of a father who threatened many times over to kill her for blabbing. Counselling for a couples years helped her open up a little, but she still shuts down most contact, utterly killing her own emotions in fear of being taken advantage of again. Instead, she lets the emotions flow into writing, her composition book comprising every experience and emotion that she couldn't let out normally.
First Year: Of course, being at school forced some socializing onto her, though most took her apathy for uncaring and/or bitchiness and left her alone. Her enthusiastic roommate being one of the few exceptions of course - a roommate whose kindness and good looks warmed the azure-haired girl's broken heart a little. In her falling for her, Isuzu accompanied her during the school festival, bumping into a peculiar but charming silverette who Reika had previously mentioned. Both girls were outgoing, in different ways, and both had caught her interest, but Isuzu still has trouble opening up.
In fact, it wasn't until the annoyance of her roommate's inane phobia of being touched (for fear that touching her caused bad things to happen, because she was 'dirty') peaked, after she tried to prove that nothing bad was going to happen, that Isuzu finally tried to open up a little, to calm the pink-haired girl. Sadly, it didn't work, and she had to simply give in and use the hand sanitizer to cleanse herself of the nonexistant 'taint'.
Of course...she now wonders if Reika believes the crazed attack of the sword-wielding raven girl to be as a result of Isuzu touching her - it didn't happen afterwards but there was no way it could be her roommate's fault. That being said, she spent the rest of the year in a catatonic state, having been in hospital and then therapy & counselling to try and prevent a full breakdown - her injuries weren't too bad in the end, but the attack itself threatened to crack her already fragile mental stability.

Sample Post: She was sitting under one of the trees by the lake; it was such a nice view. She'd only been here a few days, and it wasn't easy to keep up with everything, but it was kinda fun, albeit challenging. Well, except when it meant writing; she always found those kinds of things easy and fun. Speaking of...
Isuzu pulled out the handmade azure-binder she always kept on her, un-clipping the ballpoint pen and tapping the tip against the cover while she let her mind wander freely. Like usual, the words came to her, floating in like high tide at the beach, slowly leaving her with the words she needed, piece by piece with each wave that broke upon the shore in her mind.
Twenty minutes and 2 pages later, Isuzu let herself smile just a little bit as she put the pen down and scanned back over her work. At least she was good at one thing. Carefully clipping the pen back in it's special slot, she closed the binder and packed it back into the protective cover, before placing it on her lap and leaning her head back against the trunk of the tree.
It really was beautiful out here, but beauty always brought danger...if anything had been proven to her, it was that there was always something lurking beneath the surface. Even if it was just a tiny ripple along the water of the lake...there was something there. Hidden. Watching. Waiting.
