Please explain your character's personality in 200 words or more:
Reika is so sweet that her presence is enough to cause risk of diabetes. She is a kindly girl who will not hesitate to put others before herself. It is not necessarily because she is self-sacrificing, but because she wants nothing more than to see other people happy and often acts without thinking of the possibility of negative consequences. She has often been considered a genius, able to learn and to memorize quickly and easily. However, she is oblivious, innocent, clumsy, and outgoing, so she often comes across as silly or even stupid.
She is a cheerful girl, always smiling and laughing. Reika wants nothing more than for the rest of the world to be cheerful as well. She doesn't know how to react when confronted with sadness or depression and although she is ordinarily charismatic and outgoing, in the presence of sadness she becomes shy and awkward.
Rei is convinced that she is disgusting. Whatever is wrong with her can infect others at even just a touch. Because of this, she always carries clean handkerchiefs and hand sanitizer. Despite her clumsiness, she tries her best to be careful not to touch others, which often gives the impression that she is afraid of dirt or germs. This is far from true. She loves gardening and enjoys nothing more than to run barefoot in the rain.
What does you character think of the Etoile position as a whole?
She doesn't really understand it, but it seems like a nice thing. They're people who represent the school and who everyone looks up to. She admires the people who can get there.
Does your character want to be an Etoile someday? She's never thought of it.
What does your character think of Shizuka and Chokone, the current Etoiles?
Chokone: She admires Cho simply for becoming Etoile. She seems like a very nice person, both of the Etoiles do, and Reika would very much like to meet them.[/font][/ul]
What does your character think of the other schools? Well, as long as everyone's nice and happy, it doesn't matter what school they're from. They all should be happy!
~History~
History before Astraea Hill:
Rei's father is a wealthy businessman. Her mother was a monster.
She is the illegitimate child of a well-known, wealthy man. Her mother died during childbirth and the man, deeply in love with his mistress, took Reika into his home to be raised as his own. His wife, however, was not pleased. She raised Reika alongside her two children, but held the girl at a distance. No one but her doting father and her string of nannies touched the pink-haired girl. Her father gave her everything, and he gave her all of his time and attention, furthering his wife's jealousy. Unfortunately, he was often away on business trips, leaving Rei in her step-mother's care.
She grew up believing that her mother was a monster who had tricked her father into loving her, and that was how Reika was born. The monster was a disgusting creature that ruined everything it touched. Reika's father often told her that she looked like her mother, and the pink-haired girl wears the hairpins that had belonged to her mother, and so she became convinced that she was somehow a disgusting monster as well. Although Reika no longer believes in fairytales and monsters, a lifetime of being convinced that she was disgusting has been embedded in her unconscious and she still believes that she is a horrible creature.
This belief became more deeply ingrained when she was a student at the prestigious private school where her father had sent his other children, two sons. The parents of the other students did not allow their children to play with her, for fear of losing the business and support of her powerful step-mother. During her third year of school, one of her classmates was dared to kiss her. He took the challenge, but months later became ill and died. Although teachers told her not to blame herself, she and her classmates did. Reika started carrying handkerchiefs and hand sanitizer with her at all times.
Her younger brother was the closest thing she had to a friend. Although the boys were not permitted to touch her, he was fascinated by the monster that shared his home. He often spent his time talking with her and asking her questions, from the safety of the other side of the room, of course.
Now, she is being sent to the school that was her mother's alma mater. Rei is hoping to find out more about her mysterious mother while she is here.
Second Year: Isuzu was attacked and Maki disappeared. Convinced that it was because she 'infected' them, Reika started covering up more. She covers as much exposed skin as she possibly can. While exploring the mall, she came across a strange boy named Coyote who, for reasons unknown to the Lulim student, invited her out. They went ice skating and, despite Reika's clumsiness, she made it out of the experience in one piece and with a new friend. However, after seeing what happened to other people who have gotten close to her, her fears of touching others and hurting them have increased dramatically.

WORD COUNT: 202She was at a school for monsters. Her mother had come here, and now, they had admitted another monster. A breeze blew unruly strands of her long pink hair into her face and she grinned up at the buildings in the distance, sitting high on the top of the hill. Astraea Hill, where mysteries of her mother rested beneath its floors.
She patted the pocket of her dress, comforted by the feel of her handkerchief and her hand sanitizer. She stood with her legs apart, one hand on her hips, and the other raised in a victory signed aimed at the school. The only person there to see her was her chauffeur as he sat in the car and waited for her to return so that he could bring her and her things up to her new home.
St. Lulim would be her new home. She would never be able to go back to that place. But the thought didn't bother her because here, Reika would be able to find out who her mother - and who she herself - really was. "Alright, I'm ready!" she sang as she bounded back into the car and made the long way up the hill.
