Name: Izanami Tsuchikami

~ Appearance ~
Hair color: All three sisters possess brown hair, of varying shades. Izanami's has the darkest tones, like a deep oak-bark, with an almost washed-out vibrancy to it.
Hair style: On the whole, her hair kept much shorter than the others, but she lets it thicken to the point where she can curl it in and about her floral headress, which in itself is interwoven with silver and gold bands, which is her family heirloom - each daughter was given a headress set.
Eye color: Much like her hair, the youngest of the sisters also possesses the darkest-coloured eyes, and at times, her brown irises seem to become dimmer, deepening into an almost-black shade, making her pupils hard to discriminate.
Height: 6'1"
What does your character usually wear to class? What does she wear outside of class?
Even as the youngest sister, she continues the traditional oriental clothing tradition, though her's takes on a slightly more risque type of dress - it separates into an underlying bodice, a shawl-like top, an overlaying skirt and ribbon-style covering that allows her to expose a little skin, but not too much. A mixture of pinks and purples, the material is in-laden with faint floral patterns in white, orange and peach tones. A golden-bronze belt fastens over the waist, to keep the bodice and skirt in place.
On top of this, she wears a significant amount of jewellery; dangling golden earrings, a bronze armlet on her left arm, a golden anklet on her right ankle and 3 large silver bangles on each arm.
Please describe your character's personality in at least 200 words or more:
She is at best...described as carefree, loose, wild, passionate...Izanami embraces life and lives it as it is. She finds dancing and music as enjoyment-filled paths of expression, for the vitality of life and natural wildness she finds in herself. However, the carefree and rather laid-back attitude comes at a price for her - she can space out rather easily some times, break off into random tangents, and sometimes, even act a little ditzy. But she smiles almost constantly, encouraging her students to be themselves and open up to music and dancing, let the two arts flow through them and see for themselves whether or not they resonate with the two.
Was your character a student at Astraea Hill before becoming a staff member?
Yes, like her sisters, she attended Astrea Hill before she became a sensei there.
Please explain your character's history in 150 words or more:
Life as a student at Astraea: She was always the wild, passionate one of the three. Rather than her academic studies, Izanami preferred to dance and sing, to listen to music and let it consume her. But then, with the advising of her two sisters, she did begin to focus a bit more, settling into more or less, a proper routine, in that she worked hard enough to pass, but didn't push to excel. Instead, she simply did what was needed, and let the rest of her energy go into the areas she was passionate about - dance and music. She loved the atmosphere of Astrea Hill, and when the time came for her to graduate, she qickly took up the idea that both her sisters had had - she became a teacher of the very subjects she most enjoyed.
Years since she became a member of the school staff: She has only been teaching for a couple years, and it's still taking her some time to completely adjust to being a mentor and role model for others. It's also taken a little out of her carefree attitude, else she would not be able to focus properly on the studies of her pupils.
Izanami also happens to have come into possession of a small maine-coon cat - a friend of her's was forced to give Suzume away, as they were moving overseas and couldn't take the feline with them. Izanami jumped at the chance, as she always wanted a pet to look after. And with Sayuri's help, she assured her friend she would be able to look after Suzume. It hasn't taken her long to bond with the black maine-coon, and ironically, Suzume seems to have a very similar personality to her new owners; she's relaxed but also rather playful.
However, her latest year tipped her world upside down; a fluttery encounter with a charming, musically-inclined student whilst she took a bite to eat at the beach during the summer break led to her falling, dangerously, for the golden-haired girl despite her position as a sensei. But the passionate Izanami didn't have the ability to reign it in fully, and has been talking and meeting amiably with 'Lily' during the year, including a playful sortie with her during the Valentine's Day event. Even so, she's well aware of the taboo of such a relationship, should it arise, but the dancing sensei can't help herself when it comes to that certain, budding rockstar. Things have been progressing at a very haphazard rate - a fateful encounter with the golden-haired girl and the subsequent attempt to help her appreciate a different style of dancing led to the pair coming very close together. The atmosphere was broken when the younger girl realized what was happening and hurriedly made her exit, though they had a 'date' planned for the near future - a gala dinner for the appreciation of modern dance.
Sample post: She was giggling again, listening to the strange new music one of her students had composed; it was violin but the style wasn't classical. It was upbeat with a techno piece synchronised to it, creating a strange, unique harmony. Tapping along, Izanami couldn't help but start dancing to it, though it was mostly swaying and little shimmies. In fact, she got so lost in the music, that she didn't notice the knock, or the footsteps of someone else stepping into her room.
"Enjoying music again, huh Iza-chan? You always look stunning when you lose yourself in the melody." Noriko spoke with a wistful tone, and Izanami spun around to meet her. Twinkling oak-eyes met her sister's gaze and she winked. "Some of the kids are really getting into it now. And some have taken a shine to it~" Her sister nodded and offered her hand. They didn't get a lot of free time together, so the musically-inclined sister gleefully took the offered hand and pulled her in to dance.
They danced through the whole song, and the three others that the student had recorded onto the CD. By the time they finished, both sisters were breathing heavier and their faces were a little flushed. But both were smiling happily.
"We need to do this more often, Nori-chan~"
