Name: Amaya Hayashi *ichigo*
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Year in school: Sixth
School Attending: St. Miator Girls' Academy
Partner: None
Room mate: Sado Kagami
Appearance: Amaya has long, jet black hair with a purple-ish hint to it. She is rather petite, and has pale, doll-like skin. She has an almost angelic appearance, as her facial expressions are rather sweet and innocent, despite her edgy style. She also has a tattoo of a white dragon wrapped around the kanji for the word 'love' on her lower back.
Hair color: jet black/purple (depending on the light)
Hair style: Long and choppy, with bangs that fall just above her eyes
Eye color: honey brown
Height: 5'1
Dress: When attending classes, she wears the Miator uniform. Outside of classes, she is usually seen wearing pink/black t-shirts (usually off the shoulder/torn), pink or green flannel shirts w/ tank tops underneath, black/dark blue jeans, a black hoodie, and converse. When she's going out (on a date, or to a fancy place), she usually wears black, pink or white off the shoulder shirts, black leggings with a skirt, a black leather jacket, high heeled boots.
Glasses: Yes, but only when she's alone in her dorm. She doesn't like other people seeing her wearing them, and wears contacts when out in public.
Personality: Amaya often comes off as cold and distant (due to her rather quiet nature), but she is actually just a very shy girl. She has a kind, loving personality, and is willing to do anything to make people smile. She is very artistic, and will often give her friends handmade gifts (most often drawings/paintings), as she feels they are more meaningful than store bought things. Though she is no longer a child, she has retained some of her child-like innocence and naivety. She would never admit to it, but she also has a secret desire to have her own fairytale romance, in which she finds her very own 'Princess Charming'. When she is angry, she prefers to brood in silence, as opposed to lashing out on others. However, if angered enough, she will do what she has to in order to defend herself. She has a hard time trusting others due to some past events, and because of this, has never experienced true friendship (or relationships, for that matter). Amaya is quite accident prone and, due to her frail health, is also prone to illness. She has a terrible fear of thunder, spiders, and the dark.
View of the Etoiles: Amaya has a strong admiration for the Etoiles, especially Sado. She is very respectful of them, and absolutely WILL NOT tolerate anyone talking down on them. Sado is her closest friend (as well as her roommate) at Astraea Hill, so naturally Amaya is extremely happy for her. Though she only met Kistuki once, she believes the pure, innocent angel is a genuinely sweet person who is perfect for the role of Etoile.
View of other schools: She knows of the rivalry between Miator and Spica, but doesn't put much stock into it. She thinks it's a bit silly, to be honest. She prefers not to get too involved, but will rise to the defense of her school should anyone decide to insult it.
History: Amaya was the child of a party-crazed mother and an unknown father. Her mother wasn't ready to care for a child, and pawned her off on her grandparents shortly after she was born. No one in the family (aside from Amaya's mother) knew who her father was. As a child, Amaya didn't really read too much into her situation...until she started school. It was then that she realized just how different she was. She became very shy and reserved, keeping to herself most of the time. Her best friend was a Golden Retriever named Shion, whose death (when she was 11 years old) completely devastated her. After that, she truly became withdrawn. She felt a certain emptiness within her heart, and at the time, had no idea why. She found refuge in her art, and began drawing and painting everything she felt. At age 13, she met a girl named Sora, who became what she believed to be her first love. However, Sora's motives were not as pure as Amaya would have liked to believe. Sora used her, manipulated her, and talked down on her behind her back. It was a poisonous friendship, which eventually ended in Amaya being horribly embarrassed in front of the whole school. From that day on, Amaya closed her heart off to the world. She didn't want to get hurt like that again. When she turned 16, Amaya's grandparents decided to send her to St. Miator, in an attempt to get her to be more social. Amaya also holds on to a panda bear plush (kinda like Kagome and Oshibaru, only Amaya's bear is a little smaller) that her grandmother gave her as a child. It has served as a sort of security blanket for her, and she refuses to let it go. She usually carries the bear (who she calls 'Tenshi-chan') in a small messenger bag, but can sometimes be seen holding it in her arms (usually at night, or when she's upset/afraid).
After spending one year at St. Miator, Amaya has seen her life turn around completely. Her wonderful roommate Sado, the sweetheart Kitsuki, the kindhearted Rin, and the mysterious Shoka... All of them impacted her in some way. Though she was never able to fulfill her goal of finding a lover, she did manage to find some wonderful friends. She is now more determined than ever to make her dreams of falling in love come true.
Sample post: The brisk, cool wind blew softly through an open window, lightly tousling layers of jet black hair. Amaya stared outside with a heavy heart, dreading the moment when she would have to step out into it. Her grandmother watched her with a knowing smile, walking over and placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "It will be okay, my little cherry blossom. You're going to have a wonderful time." Amaya's soft brown eyes shifted to the ground, filled to the brim with tears. "B-But... Obaasan..." Her voice quivered as she spoke. With a soft sigh, her grandmother brought her into a gentle embrace. "Astraea Hill is a beautiful place, Amaya. Don't worry so much." With that, she picked up her granddaughter's bags and took them to the door. Amaya shook her head, biting her lip nervously. Why, she wondered, did she have to go so far from home? But her grandmother had already made the decision, so she knew she really had no choice. Taking one last glance at her room, she walked to the door, picked up her bags, and stepped outside. A mix of nerves, fear, and excitement rushed through her body. It was finally time to head off to her new life at Saint Miator Girls' Academy.
