What does your character usually wear to class? What does she wear outside of class?: In contrast to her lazy attire as a student, Emiko tries to dress somewhat more professionally for work. Though her idea of being 'professional' means wearing a dress shirt with a tie, and maybe a nice skirt if she's feeling fancy. Other than that, she can usually be spotted in typical artist's apparel (meaning loose denim shirts draped over paint-stained t-shirts, plaid flannels, blue jeans, etc.).
Please describe your character's personality in at least 200 words or more: Emiko is quiet, reserved, sweet, kind, romantic, naïve, playful, gentle, caring, loving, protective, and hardworking. She is extremely shy when first meeting someone, but after a while, her loud and crazy side will start to show. She's a total sweetheart, and fears being hated and making people angry. Her shy personality often makes those around her feel a certain need to protect her. She rarely makes enemies, and tries her hardest to be kind to everyone. She's not very good at standing up for herself. She doesn't mind when people insult her, but if you insult her friends, she can and WILL stand up and fight. When it comes to the people she loves, she'll die for them if she has to. Though it may not seem like it, Emiko loves to have fun. Her sense of humor can be a bit sarcastic at times, but that's just part of her nature. Her time as a student has caused tremendous growth in her ability to socialize, though she still maintains much of her timid nature.
Was your character a student at Astraea Hill before becoming a staff member?: Yes
Please explain your character's history in 150 words or more:
Emiko was the child of two very loving parents. Unfortunately, her father passed away when she was 12, and afterwards her mother was absolutely distraught. She sent Emiko to Astraea Hill so that she would be able to get a good education while she got her life back together. Emiko misses her father dearly, and his death still haunts her daily. However, she tries her best to maintain a positive attitude.
After spending one year at Astraea Hill, Emiko has blossomed into a slightly more confident, happy young woman. Her wonderful new friend Anna made her feel comfortable and safe, and their friendship gave Emi a new lease on life. Her new goal for herself is to be the best friend she can be, and hope that she can form new friendships, as well as a deeper relationship.
The next few years helped her grow significantly as a person. She met many new friends, experienced heartache, and eventually found love in her darling fiancee, Yuudai Sato. The two have been engaged since the winter ball of their sixth year, though the wedding has yet to be given a set date. Since then, Emiko has been much happier, and much more confident in her own abilities. It was this newfound confidence that inspired her to become a teacher.
Years since becoming a member of the school staff: N/A
Sample post:
The cool wind blew softly through soft layers of jet black hair. The young woman shivered a bit, and pulled the hood of her black jacket over her head. "This weather is so beautiful…“ She murmured under her breath, smiling slightly in an attempt to lighten the mood. Her skirt shifted softly in the breeze, causing a slight shiver to run down her spine. With a soft sigh, she began the long walk towards the starting point of her new life as a teacher at the school she had come to adore: Saint Lulim. Her mind wandered back to her days as a student, to the very first day when she'd walked this very path. She had been filled with terror then, but now... Now, there was nothing but pure joy in her heart. Still, as she walked she began to feel something. A sort of strange feeling inside her...a mix of fear, nerves, and excitement. ‘Well...' She thought, smiling as she looked up at the sky. ‘Here's to the first day of my new life...’
