And the girl takes the bait. Perfect. Now she could probe for information at a leisurely pace, enjoy a little dance here and there, and possibly net her club a new customer. There wasn't a whole lot of negative outcome here- Aside from dealing with June's annoyance later. And possibly the rumor wagon about her demeanor, but she didn't care much about that. It wouldn't surprise her though- She was white as snow, definitely not Asian except in her eyes, and spoke with an English accent, which with Japanese words sounded very out of place. Still, rumors come and go, and this one was likely to vanish like the others- whatever it became.
"You may call me whatever you like, malady, but I suppose a name befits the situation."
Now, does she give her stage name, or her real name? After all, host clubs nearly always had their hosts take up stage names, a concept that still confounded her even though she had taken one out of obligation. There were many rules of host clubs that did not make sense to her, in all honesty. Like the business ethics behind leading people on- She had no intent of doing so, but she would certainly befriend them should they ask, and turn them down should they desire beyond that. She would lose customers in the end, but to her, that's how it is supposed to be. These people come to the club seeking company when they lack it. When they have it, if they continue coming, that is disrespectful.
Well, since she was here on business, it only made sense to give her stage name.
"Naga." at the mention of her name, she winked, and took it upon herself to redirect the subject to the guest, Chibiru.
"You say you're expecting another? Whom would ever give such a princess the cold shoulder?" as if some sort of noble, she tsked into her own hand while pushing her hair away from her eyes. "Well, they are missing a wonder. Come, let's make it a night she would regret missing." and at that conclusion, she pulled away, but only enough to take Chibiru into the stance appropriate for the dance- Gracefully of course.
So many setups for so many topics, it was all a matter of waiting to see which pieces of information she could gather first. Would the girl talk about this missing friend? Were they a friend? What was the girl's last name? Where is she from? So many directions to take!... Well, she had no real use for the knowledge, but she wanted it anyway. Knowledge is power, after all, and stating such is the very reason Jill is excited to get up each morning.

Anzus hand reached for the handle of the door before she happened to glance around and notice someone familiar; a head of white hair, though pulled up and so somewhat foreign to her. Another girl had apparently approached her, and was walking away with one of darker hair. For a moment, Anzu considered what to do; should she go up to June? Would she really appreciate her company? The other girl didn't look all that comfortable or like she was enjoying herself. With a sigh, the purple haired teenager let her hand slip off of the handle and started walking towards her. "June-san!" She called out, loud enough to be heard over the music playing. She smiled, though inside she was squirming to run away, anything to prevent herself from making herself look stupid. "Fancy meeting you here!" She nervously smoothed her hands over the fabric of her dress, though her grin remained cheerful and convincing.

Of all the weird luck-
"Oh, hey!" she replied, unsure of exactly how enthusiastic she was supposed to be all things considered. It was definitely nice to see a familiar face that wasn't Arceia, but on the flipside, this was a risky situation.
"Fancy is pretty much the theme here I think. So not my style though." she shook her head, and mentally noted how much she disliked the feeling of her hair balled up as it was when she did so. "What brings you here? "
... And that was pretty much all she could figure out to say right now. There were many questions she COULD ask if she was less worried than she was. Thankfully, she hoped anyway, it wasn't too painted on her features. Maybe her whole wallflowering thing was a giveaway, but she was pretty convinced that nothing would give it away unless she screwed up. Granted, makeup could only go so far, which is why she usually had her hair cover the rest. It took extra work this time around, and it may or may not be evident that she had darker cheeks than usual. She tried to give it a good, gradient tone though. Something easily mistaken for a blush of sorts- She'd rather seem vulnerable by nerves than by markings.

"Wow, I'm glad you like it! I never thought that I'd be recognized here. Your dress is adorable. I could never pull off a lolita dress. My name is Sena, by the way. What's yours?"The girl's friendly demeanor immediately caused Yukari's smile to brighten. She'd had her fair share of awkward encounters due to her rather...overenthusiastic ways, so meeting someone that was actually willing to indulge her was quite nice. "I'd recognize that dress anywhere. That was one of my favorite cosplays, nya!" She giggled, a hint of pink flooding to her cheeks as she mentally acknowledged her slip of the tongue. She really needed to learn to keep her verbal tick in check. "And thank you! I thought it might be a bit too plain for the ball, but I'm really glad you like it!" She beamed, clearly content with the compliment. Compliments were another thing she just wasn't used to. "It's nice to meet you, Sena-chan. My name's Yukari. Oh, and just for the record, I think you'd look super cute in a lolita dress." At a temporary loss for words, the bubbly pinkette absentmindedly fiddled with the rose in her hands. The smile had yet to fade from her face; she was just so excited to have met someone who was (potentially) as anime-obsessed as Yukari herself. Sure, she'd been able to convince/force a few friends to indulge her cosplay needs, but it just wasn't the same. It was in that moment that she became determined to befriend Sena. 'Maybe we'll even cosplay together someday, nya!' The thought alone made her heart flutter just a bit.

Post by Hiroko Takashina on Mar 12, 2014 7:35:37 GMT -5
There were so many girls at the ball already! Standing at the back of the room reinforced this observation that Hiroko had already made upon entering the auditorium. It certainly didn't help her wavering confidence in her ability to find someone who matched the description of the girl who might be her sister. No, she had to believe that this girl really was her sister. Yet with all the girls already here for the party she wondered if she'd have to find a chair to stand on in order to have any chance of spotting this elusive lady. Hiroko did reason that someone who was Etoile would certainly be recognized by many of the other girls at all of the schools. Really she could probably just ask someone where Maiko Suzumi was and they'd be able to point her out if she were present. Her usual doubts resurfaced though, doubts about interrupting someone else's special night just because she couldn't find someone who didn't even know her.
It was an impossible situation. She needed someone else to help her find one specific person but couldn't approach others for fear of imposing herself. Actually she really thought maybe she was going to have to wait for Coyote or Sara to show up and help with this too. Hiroko wanted to do it on her own but at the moment she was about to admit defeat. Just as this thought disdainfully crossed her mind, someone called out a name and approached her. Not just any name but that of the girl she was trying so fruitlessly thus far to find! The glasses girl blushed a little at the mistaken identity as well as the compliment on her dress. Social situations were no easier for her a year after starting to make friends than it had been. But there was some hope because this girl had mistaken her for the famous Etoile and remarkably had the same family name as the other Etoile. Could it be that she might know something about both stars of the campus?
"I-it's okay.. I'm.. um... I'm surprised you thought I was someone famous.." she began nervously, feeling like she'd heard the name Junko before but not sure where. Then she looked down at her dress and blushed, "Thanks.. I.. it's something my fairy godmother picked out.. that's what I call her.. she appeared, I-I-I got the dress.. and she was gone. It's really pretty, but it doesn't suit a plain girl like me.."
Then, after biting her lip anxiously, she asked, "A-are you.. um.. related to Kagami Hiruko? Um... I'm.. ac-actually looking for someone.. the other Etoile.. M-M-Maiko Suzumi..."
With that said Hiroko blushed even more and quietly added, "I.. I think she's my sister.."

Post by Maiko Suzumi on Mar 12, 2014 8:15:45 GMT -5
Given that the Winter Ball's theme was Under the Sea, Maiko thought it fitting to think of that sea splitting just for the Etoiles. A path opened up between Maiko and Kagami, allowing the shorter whitenette to close the distance between them even more quickly. For Maiko it was the smaller girl's bright smile that created that space. Pure beauty opened a path for them. Hugging her darling was a little hard considering the difference in height and one of Maiko's arms holding a gift behind her back. Somehow she still managed to hug her beloved close with her free arm wrapping around Kagami's shoulders.
"Kagami-chan, I believe we've been through this before, haven't we? In the interest of saving time, we both look beautiful tonight," Maiko teased when her girlfriend deflected her praise by praising her in return. For the bluenette Kagami was the most beautiful girl in the world, an angelic princess she was incredibly fortunate to have met under the Memory Tree. Their loneliness and sorrow had given birth to a beautiful love that was now an example to all the girls of Astraea Hill.
Maiko's eyebrow raised when she saw the box her princess held up for her. As always she smiled in a soft, serene manner that showed her appreciation for Kagami's gift. Carefully she took that box into her free hand while bringing her own gift out from behind her back. It would be presented formally in a moment but she put it off temporarily when she realized there was a gift for her grandmother. That was so thoughtful! There was no way Maiko would be able to repay her grandmother enough for the help she'd given them during the Etoile competition. Just living every day to the fullest with the person she loved more than life itself was the best Maiko could do. She was sure that whatever the gift was her grandmother would likely enjoy it. That thought concluded she smiled a little more impishly and offered her gift to the white haired princess whom she really wanted to kiss before too long.
"Thank you very much for the present, Kagami-chan. Before I open mine I wanted to give you yours," Maiko offered, holding the gift out while she added, "Then we can open our presents together.. I hope you like what I made for you."
Then she mused, "One year ago at this same dance, I found an angel waiting for me.. do you remember that dance we shared? It was one of the most magical moments of my life. So.. happy anniversary, Kagami-chan."

Well, Aki was having a splendid night. She was with the girl she loved, and she met a new friend. It was perfect. "Well, Ubu-chan, will you hang out with me and Riko-chan or would you rather do something on your own?" Aki said. If she said no, Aki wouldnt know why. Riko was perfect in Aki's eyes. She was beautiful and sweet. Aki was just now realising how in love she was. Riko, Riko wasnt just the cousin of the great Etoile Rin Minigawa-sensei. Because Riko was her own person and shouldnt have to be expected to do things she doesnt have to do. But if Riko felt she had to, then Aki would support her. Aki wanted to become the etoile someday as well, but not because it was expected of her. But maybe one day they would become etoiles? No, not yet. It is too early.
Realising how off track she was, she set her focus back to the dance and in the scene she was in now. The dance. With Riko and Ubu.

Junko couldn't help but giggle as the other girl started to speak; she was just so cute! She also couldn't help comparing the girls way of speaking to her sister; they both stuttered, although Kagamis was had as much to do with her speech impediment as it did with her shyness. Her smile grew as she told her of how she came across her dress, amazed. "Oh, wow, that's so cool! It's like something straight out of a fairytale!" But her happy demeanor faded a bit as the other girl called herself plain. Her expression became one of mock sterness, though it only made her look more childlike. She raised a finger to wag at the girl. "Nuh- uh! It doesn't work that way!" She smiled again. "You look really pretty in it, so you can't be plain! She said it like it was the most logical thing on the world, and her statement after only made her smile more. Junko had evoke accustomed to being recognized as "Kagamis sister" lately; most of the Spican students and members of the student council knew her, of course, but for everyone else that's how she was seen. It didn't bother her, though; if anything, she was happy that her Nee was getting her own spotlight for once. "Yepp! Kagami is my Onee- sama!" She said happily and proudly, standing up straight with a super bright smile. When she heard that the girl was looking for Maiko, she nodded; it made sense that anyone looking for the Seme Etoile would look for the Uke as well, since they were so often together. But the next part surprised her; this girl thought she was Maikos sister? Junko recalled how the gossip letters had mentioned the elder Suzumi girl possibly having a long lost sibling, but she hadn't payed it much mind; indeed , she had almost forgotten about it. But now, her sky blue eyes widened with shock and aw, clapping her hands together in front of her. No. Way. She said. "Are you serious? Oh my gosh, that's awesome! Wow, how did you find that out?"Then she gasped. "Well, we have to go find them so you can meet your sister!"

So, maybe she didn't really match the "under the sea" theme, and maybe the dress wasn't the most colorful one shed ever worn. But darn if she didn't look adorable! Amongst the tables at the winter ball sat a tiny little blond wearing a black dress that came off her shoulders and layers of frill at the bottom, accented by red bows under her bust and around the hem line. A larger bow adorned her amazingly long hair, with was curled to tumble down her back. Even her precious Ryuu was dressed for the occasion, with a tiny top hat and bow around his neck. Her golden eyes blinked around excitedly, yet timidly at the same time; while Okami longed to meet these people, make friends, she had become accustomed to people saying nasty to things to her or, at best, avoiding her all together. So here she sat, an excitable smile on her face. She was happy even of it only meant spending time with Ryuu, which at this rate, it would. Notes- her dress!!! images6.fanpop.com/image/photos/33100000/MAYU-mayu-vocaloid-3-33165833-700-700.png

Anzu~ Anzu stopped a little away from her Russian companion. She hoped she was intruding; what if June had wanted to be alone? Well, it was too late to think about that now. He just smiled lightly. "Nice party, huh?"A generic question, sure, but it was all she could think of. She carelessly crossed her arms over her chest, still smiling ever so lightly; she had to admit, as much as social interaction intimidated her, knowing someone was a lot better then being alone. Anzu couldn't help but laughing hotly at the girls response to her greeting. "It's not really mine either." She again clasped her hands together, so that her nerves wouldn't be betrayed by their restlessness. She rolled her eyes before answering Junes question. "My stepmother found out about the ball and practically forced me to go. She even got this thing for me." She picked up the skirt of the dress a bit, letting it fall again. "I... Don't own any dresses, so she just picked one out for me. Good thing, too; I probably wouldn't have had any idea what I was doing!"She forced a tiny chuckle; what was she doing? She could only hope she wasn't giving away just how awkward she felt...

Ubu observed Aki curiously as she also contemplated the girl's offer to join them for the evening. She was always happy to meet new people and make friends, so this was no exception. Aki seemed to a pretty normal girl from this little first interaction and she was Rin's friend after all. That meant that she was perfect material to be a friend of the silvernette as well. So it was decided that she would try to be friends with this girl as well, though the other question was a good one. Did she put her investigation on the back burner to hang out with friends? The Etoiles deserved to be happy, and with a curse looming over them she couldn't imagine that would be entirely possible. No, she'd have to keep trying to solve the curse before it hurt anyone else... but she really had no good clues here. Not much to indicate a curse of any kind, so the tile clues must not be that relevant. On the other hand her friends were here so it made more sense to spend time with them than stare at the ceiling all night.
"Sure, I'll come with you Aki-chan! I was just doing some investigating that's all," she explained casually, as if searching the auditorium for clues to a curse during the Winter Ball was normal. She smiled happily as she asked, "So what's first? Sorry I'm not all dressed up, but this felt like what I should wear tonight.. so Aki-chan is your roommate, Rinko-chan? That's great! My roommate Shiro-chan.. she's been so busy or something that I barely see her. But I have my elephant to keep me company!"

Near the blonde girl and her stuffed companion, Coyote found herself a seat and quickly grabbed it. Most were mingling elsewhere in the auditorium. Some were dancing, others were chatting excitedly with one another. The Winter Ball always seemed to bring about a sense of wonder from her classmates. Tonight, Coyote felt more like a bundle of nerves than she did an awed participant in this magical evening.
It was all because of the stupid dress. She didn't care much for dresses. Sure, the uniform she usually wore was a skirt, but she was able to deal with that. Dressing up like this. Coyote couldn't quite explain why it made her feel uncomfortable. Perhaps it was just the novelty of the situation. It was something that was so far outside of her comfort zone.
Coyote fidgeted a little bit and turned the cup of punch she had grabbed for herself on the table, before taking a drink. There was probably something she should do about that teal-haired girl who had approached her, earlier. But, Coyote was not feeling up to that task. She wasn't even sure what the girl was up to...or who she was, for that matter. For someone in such a loud costume, she could sure hide herself pretty easy.
With a sigh, the Canadian leaned on the table and drank her punch. Why did this feel like it was going to be a long night? She knew, rationally, that she should just get up and have some fun. And she probably would. But, first she had to get comfortable with herself. Which might make it a long night, indeed.

She kind of had to laugh there, since the situation was similar in a way.
"I hear that. I'm only here chaperoning- Well sort of. I got dragged down here." she shrugged, which didn't at all befit the scene or the room, but one couldn't simply stop being who they were just because the situation was more or less asking for it. "I didn't expect any familiar faces. I'm glad you're here though."
Both true statements, though neither of them had more depth beyond the statements themselves. She wasn't really capable of adding double meanings to her words, especially since she barely understood what double meaning meant. But, hey, she's not the brightest. What can I say?
It was weird, but the whole scene was surprisingly comfortable. Maybe it was her imagination or the bipolar coming out, but the wall was comfortable now, and talking didn't feel so foreign, as evidenced by the adding of topics and expanding on others. The funny thing was, it didn't really hit her that she was comfortable either. She didn't think about that sort of thing.

This white haired girl seemed to be full of relentless energy and enthusiasm; it was a little overwhelming for Hiroko. Still she didn't feel unwelcome by how Junko had reacted to her greeting. Maybe she really wasn't intruding on the girl's evening and things would be okay. The biggest concern of course was actually meeting her sister without it getting too nerve-wracking. Her blue eyes were wide in surprise when Junko wagged a finger to accentuate her point about the dress. What it meant was that the girl thought she was pretty. As if on cue her legs started feeling a bit wobbly and her cheeks got really warm. They were probably blushing quite a bit too. If she couldn't handle meeting the sister of her sister's girlfriend what chance did she have of successfully meeting the sister herself?
"W-w-well.. it was more mysterious than that.. she just appeared, told me to get this dress.. and when I turned a-a-a-around.. she was gone.. so weird," she said quietly of her fairy godmother before asking, "You.. um... you really think I'm p-pretty? But.. I.. the glasses..."
Telling Junko that she was Maiko's sister had been likely to be a surprise to the whitenette, but there wasn't much choice in the matter. It wasn't like Hiroko was going to magically have the confidence to approach her elder sibling on her own. Having Kagami's sister help her was just enough degrees of separation to make Hiroko kind of okay with an introduction at all. Those lighter blue eyes looking shocked was to be expected but not what happened next. Shock didn't last long as it gave way to great excitement. Hiroko barely had time to consider what to say before Junko was ready to take her to meet the Etoiles then and there. Thinking about finally meeting Maiko made her legs even weaker, so unstable and nervous that taking just a couple steps might make her tumble over.
"Um. m-my friends in Spica helped me.. Sara-san and Coyote-san.. they talked to me at lunch one day and offered to help after I got a l-l-l-letter saying I had a sister.." she explained about the how before hold up her hands defensively, "But.. isn't it early to go find them? I mean.. don't they want to.. um.. d-dance or something? I'm not that important, I can wait.."

Okamis eyes widened as another girl, one with purple hair and a really pretty dress, sat near her. She blinked; did she know who she was, or maybe she didn't see her? People didn't often sit near her, at least not for any good reasons. For a moment she was quiet, before a headache began blooming between her eyes. The music, the people, this girl, it was all enough to send Okami into sensory overload. She pressed her palm against her head, trying to make everything slow down. After she had regained herself slightly, she turned to the girl who sat in the proximity. The childish girl smiles a little; she had wanted to meet new people, right? "Hi!" She said, holding her dear Ryuu against her chest, as though he would protect her from anything the other might do or say. Hopefully she would be nice; or at least, nicer then the other girls were. "Okami- chan likes your dress!" she said, pointing to herself with Ryuus arm as she spoke her own name. She gave a small, cute smile, "And this is Ryuu- chan!" She said, holding him up.
